A highly effective allylamine antifungal used topically or orally to treat fungal infections, especially dermatophyte infections (tinea, ringworm) and onychomycosis (nail fungus). It inhibits squalene epoxidase, leading to a toxic buildup of squalene inside the fungal cell.
